Using cash4device.ca is simple!
We've worked hard to make cash4device.ca as easy as can be for you. To find out the value for your item, just follow these steps:
Find your item on cash4device.ca/SellAdevice. If the item is not on our website, unfortunately we are not able to offer you instant quote for it. However you can still send us the details of the devices/products by filling the form in Other Devices tab.
Please do NOT select an item if it does not match your item exactly - we will not be able to offer you anything for it.
Once you've located your item on our catalogue, let us know what condition and the specs its in by answering a few questions. Please remember the condition of "Brand New" would be for an item which is sealed and still in company packaging and has never been used or opened.
If you like our offer just complete the checkout process by clicking on "Sell Now" and tell us how you'd like to get paid. We pay PayPal, Cash (In person meetup only) or E-transfer. Shipping is FREE! Our offer is good for 7 days but the faster you send it in, the quicker you'll get paid.
Once we receive your box, the cash4device.ca team will check out the products/devices and their cosmetic condition in order to validate your description and pay you quickly.
Please note: If what you send in does not match the condition you described online, you will be given a revised offer. You'll have the option to decline the new offer during a hold window of 5 days. If you decline the offer we'll send your item back to you.
Having an account with cash4device.ca is a convenient and easy way to track your transactions.
The simplest way to set up an account with cash4device.ca is to create a transaction - or in other words - sell a device to us on cash4device.ca/SellAdevice. It's easy! You will begin by finding your item and getting a quote.
As you take the steps to lock in the offer on your item, you will be asked for the information needed to create an account. This will include your address, contact information, and payment preferences. As always, there is no cost to using cash4device.ca to trade in your device, and never an obligation to send the item to us.
After you create the transaction it can take up to 15 minutes for our system to process the new account. From there we will send you shipping information.
Though you do have the option to check-out as a guest, it is best to register an account.

Each listing includes a section that describes the cosmetic and functional condition of the item. We rate the cosmetic condition of the item as "Brand New", "Like New", "Good", "Fair", "Defective" and "Broken".
While each device may have varying cosmetic conditions, it's important to determine the cosmetic condition of the devices/products accurately. We have guidelines in the cosmetic condition section of each product category to help you determine the condition of your devices.
cash4device.ca does not purchase items that have been reported as lost or stolen.
We use various resources available online, which includes information from carriers, law enforcement and insurance companies to identify whether a device has been reported either lost or stolen.
We record the device's electronic serial number for each item we receive, so we can provide a trail for items under inquiry. All devices go through our data wipe process.
As part of our online trade-in process, each of our customers are required to contractually confirm the device is in fact theirs to sell and has not been reported as lost or stolen. We also remind customers at several points in the process that we do not accept items that have been reported lost or stolen.
cash4device.ca never sells or shares any of your personal information unless you have specifically opted in to receive offers from our partners. Additionally, during our inspection process all devices receive a full wipe and factory restore prior to or during inspection and we destroy any SIM or memory cards that our customers forget to remove.
Please Note: If you do forget to take out your memory card or SIM and your phone is sent to us, we will be unable to send the SIM or memory card back to you should you decide to cancel your transaction as they are destroyed immediately upon the start of the inspection process.

For individuals, cash4device.ca does not currently buy from customers outside Canada. For wholesale seller, we do buy in bulk. Please submit your inquiry at cash4device.ca/SellBulk.

cash4device.ca does arrange bulk purchasing. We have a dedicated department for such transactions, however they require a set of information before they are able to determine how we can best serve your needs.

cash4device.ca offers the shipping options of Canada Post.
For Items being sent to cash4device.ca, you will have a Canada Post label.
Once we have sent you a prepaid Canada Post label/QR code, you can bring your package to any Postal facility or arrange a pick up with them.
For items being shipped from cash4device.ca, we ship via Canada Post. Tracking will be provided to you electronically once the item ships.
cash4device.ca buys many types of Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and more. All of the items we buy can be found on cash4device.ca.
If your exact model does not appear on our website that means we no longer make instant offers for that item. However we may still be interested in that item. You can submit the form in the Other Devices section to see if we can make an offer to you for that device.
If we receive an item that is not in our catalog or we haven't pre-approved by offering a quote, we will not be able to honor the price quoted in your offer. A counter offer will be provided, or if we cannot take the item, we will either ship it back to you for a nominal shipping cost, or recycle it responsibly upon your confirmation.
Find My is a feature for All apple products that can help locate your device if lost, but can also block activation by a new owner. Because of this, cash4device.ca cannot offer full trade-in value for devices with "Find My" enabled. To ensure a fast and hassle-free process, please make sure to turn off "Find My" before sending it to cash4device.ca.
How to turn off Find My:
- Locate and tap the "Settings" icon on your device's home screen
- Tap where its shows your name and profile picture in the Settings menu
- Locate "Find My" menu options from the menu and tap on it
- If Find My is ON, tap on it which take you to the next page where you can tap the slider to turn it OFF
- If you are prompted for a password, enter your iCloud password and tap "Turn Off" to confirm
Please note:
- If you have already reset your device, Find My is turned off
- Please contact us if you need any assistance with this process
Protect your data and personal information by erasing all data and settings before sending your device to cash4device.ca. We will still double check your device to make sure it's been erased once we receive it.
Before you erase your device, we recommend you make a backup.
Here is how you can erase your device before sending it to cash4device.ca:
- Tap the settings (gear icon) from the home screen
- Tap the "General" settings menu item
- Choose the "Transfer or Reset" menu item
- Tap on the "Erase All Contents and Settings" menu item
How to erase your device via iCloud, if it does not power on:
- Sign in to icloud.com/find with your Apple ID
- Click "Find My" from the menu
- From "Your Devices" list, select the device you want to erase
- In the device's Info window, click "Remove This Device"
- Enter your Apple ID password to confirm
If your device is offline: The remote erase begins the next time it's online.
How it works: Every item sent to us is hand evaluated by a trained member of our team based on the information you provided. If our evaluation does not match up with the one you completed online, the offer may decrease or increase accordingly.
Revised Offers: If your offer changes for any reason, you will receive an adjustment email on the day of inspection with the new value and an explanation of any changes to your offer. If you disagree with our revised offer, we will gladly return your item to you and you pay for return shipping.
Please Note: If you do not respond to our email and we do not hear back from you regarding the revised offer after 5 days, the new offer will be automatically accepted on your behalf and your revised payment will be sent to you.
If your offer is revised and you believe there has been a mistake, you can request the attention of our inspections manager for a closer look and re-assessment by emailing info@cash4device.ca.
How to avoid a Revised Offer: The best way to prevent an offer drop is by providing as accurate an initial assessment as possible. If you need assistance determining the condition of your device(s), please visit our "Determining the Condition of My Item" FAQ.
When creating a transaction with cash4device.ca, we provide a fast and easy shipping method for your devices.
We send you a prepaid shipping label or QR code through email, available for Canada Post. This will arrive in your email inbox roughly 15 minutes after you have created the transaction on cash4device.ca. You will use your own box for this option, so be sure to pack the item very carefully.
You can also log into your account on cash4device.ca/my-account and click on "My Order/Trade" tab then click on "In-progress" tab to locate the order for which you want to print the shipping label and packing slip, then click "View Details" to access the print shipping label link.
If we provided you with a prepaid shipping label via Canada Post, you can enter the carrier tracking number on https://www.canadapost.ca/
If you created an account: Log into your account on cash4device.ca. From there you will be able to find your tracking number and track your package.
- Click the "My Order/Trade" tab in your cash4device.ca/my-account page
- Click "In-progress" tab and locate the order you'd like to track
- Click "View Details" tab and look for the Tracking Number field
- Use this number to track your shipment on Canada Post website
If you do not have an account: Please contact customer care through email or by calling us at 437-808-7032. Have your order number with you when you contact us.
Please contact our support team if your payment has not arrived after 10 business days.
If you created an account: Log into your account on cash4device.ca. From there you will be able to find your payment details and track your payment status.
- Click the "My Order/Trade" tab in your cash4device.ca/my-account page
- Click "View Details" tab for the payment status of the order you'd like to track
- Under the title "payment status" you will see payment details and status
PayPal customers: Will see a credit to their account. If you do not see the credit please contact PayPal to see if there is an issue with your payment.
E-Transfer customers: Will receive an email from Interac on how they can deposit the money into their account. Please check your spam folder to see if your email inadvertently went there.
Once we receive your item and complete our inspection process, it should only take a day or two for it to be processed (it depends on the time of day it gets to us).
If the model and condition are confirmed during the inspection, the payment is processed within 1-2 business days.
Once payment is issued:
- E-Transfer and PayPal are the fastest ways to get paid. They are sent out electronically and should arrive within 24 hours of the payment being processed
- An email will always be sent when a payment is processed and will include details regarding when you can expect to receive it
cash4device.ca currently offers 3 ways for you to get paid for your used electronics:
- PayPal - Sent directly to your PayPal account using the email address provided by you during checkout. This option takes 0-1 business days to arrive after the payment is processed.
- E-transfer - Sent directly to your bank account using the email address provided by you during checkout. This option takes 0-1 business days to arrive after the payment is processed.
- Cash - This option is only for local clients willing to meet us in public places like McDonald's, Tim Hortons or malls in the major cities of the GTA.
Same day pickup and cash payment option are available in these cities:
- Ajax, Brampton, Etobicoke, Markham, Mississauga, Oshawa, Pickering, Richmond Hill
- Toronto (Including Scarborough, North York, East York, Thorncliffe, etc.)
- Vaughan, Whitby
If you are having problems with E-transfer or PayPal: Please check your spam folder to see if the emails we sent were sent there. Also, please make sure your bank accounts are active to receive the money.
cash4device.ca is set up for individual users selling under 10 items per transaction. Each phone needs a separate offer made for it, and we have tried to make this as easy as possible, so that you get the maximum value for each device you want to sell.
If you have a higher than average number of items to sell, we would still love to buy them! You will just need to create separate transactions once the 10 item limit is reached.
Please Note: For certain individual products there is a limit to how many identical models you can trade in under the same account. We do not have a list of these specific products available, but the system will let you know if you have exceeded the trade limit (typically up to 5 items in a 30 day period) when you create the transaction.
cash4device.ca offers bulk trade-in services for organizations and individuals with 10 or more mobile devices, laptops, or tablets. If you have questions please email us at info@cash4device.ca.
Yes you can! Accessories do not affect your offer price and are not required to be sent with your device.
Please DO NOT send us extra accessories such as:
- Cases, earbuds, protective screens
- Boxes, manuals, or chargers
These items do NOT affect your price, and are discarded at receipt. Any extra accessories we receive are discarded and cannot be returned.
Once your item arrives at our facility, it typically takes about 1-2 business days for payment to be issued. PayPal and E-transfer are the quickest ways to get paid.
Timeline breakdown:
- Shipping time to our facility: 2-3 business days. We are located in Pickering, ON. You can track your package by logging into the "Track My Orders/Trade" page
- Inspection: Our goal is to inspect your item and get you paid within 1-2 business days of receipt
- Payment: E-transfer and PayPal are instant once payment is issued!
Best practices to prevent delays:
- Make sure your package is scanned at the post office for proper shipping
- Watch your email inbox carefully for updates
- Check your email daily to avoid any miscommunication
- Important: If there is an active account on your phone it can cause significant delays and may affect the offer amount
The value of electronics typically declines pretty quickly over time so we can only honor your offer for 7 business days. If you ship your item after 7 business days, we'll inspect it and let you know the current offer value.
If you are not happy with the revised offer, you will have the opportunity to request that the item is returned to you at your cost.
If your offer has expired but you would still like to sell your item to cash4device.ca, simply return to cash4device.ca and go through the process again to see what your item is worth today.
Recommendation: It's recommended to create a new order if the 7 business day timeline for shipping has passed to avoid any revised offer due to change in device value.
We recommend that you remove the SIM card or any SD card from your phone before sending it to us.
iPhone and iPad SIM cards:
- Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the casing
- Gently insert Apple's SIM card removal tool into the pin-sized hole in the SIM card tray
- The SIM tray will eject from the phone body
- Remove your card from the tray and reinsert the tray so it is secure and flush with the casing
iPad SIM card: You should remove the SIM card from the side of the iPad by inserting Apple's SIM card removal tool into the pin-sized hole in the SIM card tray.
Important: When we receive devices with SIM cards and/or SD card intact, we are required to destroy them in an effort to protect your privacy.
To ensure the fastest possible processing and payment for your device, please review the checklist below before sending your device(s) to cash4device.ca.
You must:
- Deactivate "Find My" for Apple devices
- Turn off Device Tracking (i.e. Find My iPhone, Samsung Reactivation Lock)
- Remove any passwords
We recommend:
- Save your data and/or back it up before resetting your device to factory settings
- If your device has an SD card or SIM card, remove it before shipping
- Please do not send any extra items that you did not submit online
- Charge your device to minimize processing time after we receive it
- Devices received with at least a partial charge can be processed faster
To remove an item from your cart while creating the order:
- Near the top right corner of the screen, click on the "Box with numbers" (where numbers shows how many items are in your order)
- Click the Red Trash icon which means "Remove" under the item descriptions in your cart
- You will be asked to confirm, and should see the item disappear from your order
To cancel an entire transaction:
- Go to cash4device.ca/my-account after you login
- Click "My Account" in the top right hand corner
- Navigate to your "My Orders/Trades" tab
- Locate your order in the "In-progress" tab and click the "Red Trash icon" next to the order number
- You will see a confirmation pop up window. Click to confirm cancellation
